1950s Blue Fine Tissue Silk & Gold Gown designer-hardy-amies pops of purples and pinksVery fine, high end silk was used to create this stunning hourglass, bombshell of a dress from the late 1950s. The silk has an exotic sari feel to it. During this time period India was a great fascination as it opened to the Western world and you saw pieces made for he Western market made of these fine and beautiful silks. The blue is a deep sea turquoise and gold floral medallions are woven directly into the fabric. The neckline and hem are bordered
